Mirto del Contadino

Mirto is a typical liqueur from the island of Sardinia, which is obtained from the alcoholic maceration of the sloes of the myrtle plant.

Characterized by an intense red colour, it embodies the typical aroma of the sloes themselves and has an alcohol content of 30º.

This liqueur, which has recognized digestive properties, is produced only with the addition of sugar.

It is ideally consumed cold at the end of the meal or as an aperitif. It is also used by many Sardinian pastry shops in the preparation of the typical sweets of the island.
